I have studied climate change science for twenty plus years and it's effect on the planet and New Zealand in particular. It is the biggest event on the planet and likely to destroy our social fabric.

As we clean up the atmosphere by stopping the burning of coal and oil we expose ourselves to more heat from the sun. The small change of making ships burn a cleaner fuel has reportedly increased the temperature by 0.2 C. climateoutcome.kiwi.nz/latest-posts...
Loss of Lower Clouds over Northern Oceans Causing Warming.
Back in 2012 James Hansen wrote a paper in which he said that the aerosols in the atmosphere, which include soot from burning coal, sulphur from burning oil and dust from farming, was cooling the...

We have passed 1.5 C of global warming and unless we get the emissions of CO2 under control we are in real trouble. Citizen sciense shows that at 3 C all the trees die and farming becomes a real challenge.

Research shows that many species will die at the same temperature increase. I have done some simple citizens science that you can check out in the article. climateoutcome.kiwi.nz/latest-posts...

Understanding and reporting on climate change is one thing but you have to contribute to the solution however futile. Happy New Year.

The reduction in atmopheric pollution presents a 'Faustian Bargain' as we transition to less poluting energy we allow the suns energy to warm the plaent. We must face up to the damage we have already done. climateoutcome.kiwi.nz/latest-posts...
