Death Cab for Ugly
"While he rushes to place his name on monuments before he leaves office, he’s given every indication he’s fine leaving behind a trail of utter and complete destruction. In short, Donald J. Trump is a nihilist."
We are all passengers in Trump’s death cab
The nihilism of the regime is its most terrifying attribute.

This might be the best description of a polity I've ever read. That whole "writing about the truth for a living" thing seems to be working out for you!

'Dennis Modry, a co-founder of the group, told NBC that border security, the Canadian pension plan, taxes, national debt, and the possible currency revamp were on the table. So was β€œthe development of an independent military"'

I find your reporting delightfully humanizing of the hurly burly of municipal politics. I'm sure I can't be the only one. You're a vaccine against conspiracism

Bear this in mind any time you read poll findings that make you want to walk into the sea, but resist that urge, lest the potato percentage grow even larger

The Kingsmen got SO much mileage out of vague government antipathy to them and their song. They were still cashing cheques from touring universities into the mid 80's, 2 decades after Louie Louie. Not bad for a one-hit wonder drunk garage band.

It looked obvious to outsiders what a vote for Trump meant from Trump I, his direct statements on the campaign trail, and the Project 2025 documents. I think all the data are showing here is a reverse Bradley effect from a lot of folks trying to escape the moral taint by pretending they were fooled.
