We're in the design phase to stabilize 3,000 feet of eroding shoreline along Eighteenmile Creek by 18 Mile Golf Course. The proposed idea would increase native plantings, improve water quality while still maintaining the golfing experience. See the concepts below.

What do I do if I see an algae bloom? 🦠 Avoid boating, paddling, fishing, or swimming in the area. Some blooms produce toxins that can make you (and your pets) sick.

HAB ALERT: Please be aware of a possible ongoing Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) at Hyde Park Lake, specifically around Duck Island. After sampling the water there yesterday and bringing it back to observe under the microscope, we spotted at least one species of cyanobacteria - Aphanizomenon. (1/4)

Sampling season started today for our Riverwatch volunteers. They're collecting baseline water data - temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and conductivity - so we can add to our ongoing understanding of water quality in the region. Learn more about this program below.
