A TERF conference where, it turns out, one of the speakers physically attacked another for wearing the Palestinian flag. Only the best people!
Just seen a soi-disant "working-class feminist academic" blathering about intersectionality while at the same time rushing to defend a TERF conference that was opened by a cop (& a billionaire previously).

Transphobia rots your brain, loves.

Just so, and - having said for a decade that something much like this was coming, if we didn’t move decisively to avoid it - I cannot tell you how *incredibly * hostile more or less everyone who considers themselves Sensible and Moderate was, to being told this. And yet, here we now are.

Everyone: What's government doing about the cost of living crisis, the climate crisis, and the unfolding genocide in Gaza?

Labour: "We will mandate people carry Brit cards".

This government's priorities are painfully out of touch and increasingly authoritarian.

The truth: we need migration.

The problem: too many politicians are terrified to say it.

Why? They're led by a) toxicity of the charlatans & b) wealthy media organisations who demand these useful distractions rather than us talking about inequality.

Reject it. Draw the line.

Visited Hiroshima memorial park today. I believe it's somewhere everybody should go, and bear witness to the hideousness and cruelty of war, and the suffering it visits upon the innocent and helpless.

Feels especially relevant these days.

Labour are too timid in their approach to rail nationalisation - they're leaving the most lucrative bits so the banks that own them can carry on creaming off profit.
We say nationalise it ALL, including the fat-cat Rolling Stock Companies!
We support this campaign.
Train leasing companies, also known as rolling stock companies, are hugely profitable - making over £400m in 2023. 💸

Great to have @douglasmcallistermp join us in calling for an end to the rolling stock rip-off.

We need YOUR MP to join the fight for a fairer railway. Email them today 👇

And a happy "Tossing out the TERFS" day to you as well! While It's a shame to see Mothin Ali show support for MPs advocating for segregation after voting closes, it's notable that pretty much all candidates who had outright transphobic positions lost.

Migrants didn't cut council funding. Migrants didn't cut NHS funding. Migrants didn't close youth centres. Migrants didn't sell off council houses. Migrants aren't filling our rivers with sewage.

Farage and co. will tell you to point the finger at migrants.

Don't fall for it.

Labour won’t defend migration.

Too scared of Reform, too terrified to lead.

While they play dog whistle politics, inequality is the real problem.

Not small boats. But private jets.

it'd be awesome if the circadian lighting home assistant plugin let u set a target sleep time (or wake up time) and then based on ur actual sleep data it'd gradually shift the lighting cycle towards that schedule.

Btw - you should never, ever take the cops at face value when they say arrests were made at a protest for "assaulting an officer".

Hidden behind this vague language is a common practice where even the slightest bit of resistance will be inflated into a more severe charge for not complying.

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

(15 in Manhattan btw)
There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.
