This opinion still broadly stands. The mainline missions are legit some of the most mechanically uninteresting/boring content in the whole damn game, including the various iterations of the final mission. The endings themselves are great. Bleak, but great.
It's still flawed mechanically and narratively (as an RPG, linearly it's quite appealing even if your choices mean fuck all), but I've been won over by the impressive (literal and figurative) worldbuilding.
It's still early and I hear the Phantom Liberty expansion is genuinely great, but it's not hooking me and it feels... wrong, somehow.
