I’m doing that thing.

When you watch the end BBC News in preparation for MotD on a day the Toffees grab your full three points.

#SUNEVE FT thoughts.

[1] Why would we turn to McNeil to play wide right when Ndiaye went off injured? Not sure the lad knows he’s got a right foot.
November 3, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Ok, I’m now just about over the Spurs 0-3.

9 games this GW done and the large middle third has further swollen. But this means we need something tomorrow or we’ll fall into the shrunken final third.

It suddenly feels rather important.

HT view.

0-1.

Changes needed on 50 mins. Give em five to show something. If nothing appears, Alcaraz for Dibling (Ndiaye heads right).

Definitely second best, but not out of it.
… I’m no-longer particularly confident.

Still, these are SHITE Everton!

Three days ago, I was arrogantly confident of three points Sunday. Just, you know, we tend to beat Palace.

But…

League Cup exit thoughts.

1. We’re not strong enough to field 9 changes vs PL opposition. Who is?

2. McNeil looks like he’s gone. SpaceJam’d.

3. Glad we almost got back to full strength on 60 mins and maybe unlucky not to pull it back (Garner crossbar shaker).

Saw about 8 magpies flying about together against a rich blue sky in the suburbs of a large city.

Beto vs Barry.

1. Good we have viable options. Even if we’re undecided on who should be prioritised.

2. One has chunk of PL experience with an acceptable helping of goals. One hasn’t.

3. One cost c. 50% more than the other.

FT thoughts from #EVEAVL

1. Slightly frustrating experience. We huffed and puffed, but didn’t do enough to fashion clear open opportunities.

2. Lots of things nearly came off.

3. Another clean sheet. Jimmy fine at LB. Keane nearly / should have scored. JP with no save to make. JO’B comfy.
Seen some shouts for Barry / Beto swap.

Good to have options on bench. And no talk of Dibling yet.

HT thoughts on #EVEAVL

1. Decent enough 45. Fell away a bit on 35.

2. Few balls rattled around the Villa 6 yrd box. Luck could have been kinder.

3. Digne avoids a VAR handball review, as linesman called Beto off at the most minute of indiscretions. I’d like to have seen the lines out etc.

Had to check… we’ve played 3 PL games this season and it feels like he’s been here months. Maybe longer.

FT thoughts on #WOLEVE

1. We somehow turned the most convincing of wins and performances into a nail biter. 80 mins of broad calm.

2. Some genuinely glorious passages of play from the boys in blue.

3. Ndiaye; nippy, joyful, busy and tricky. Like a father playing against his twin toddlers.

Stadium talk.

Q: How loud is it at ‘ill Dickie?
6. #UTFT again.
7. Glimpses of quality from new boys. Hints of steel from the old boys.
8. Hill Dickinson Stadium, number 8(?), looked great. Some lovely angles for TV cameras. Can’t wait to visit. Loud I read.

This picture looks very Mexico ‘86.

Shilton about to be out jumped by a 5’5 genius no.10. Reidy looking on.

What a gaff.

Watched it in a bar, Crete, without sound and the glare of the med sun, however…

2. Rode our luck today. What a ride.
3. England’s unquestioned no.1 #motm today.
4. Lovely full debut for Grealish. Pipe & slippers stuff.
5. Fair play Moyes, sticking to your Garner at left back guns.

FT thoughts on #LEEEVE

1. Mitigating circumstances.

2. But fck me.

3. Massive pressure now on the recruitment team. Hopefully there already was.

4. Not sure what Leeds did, but could barely string three passes together (beyond the halfway line).
I’m out of excuses. Changes needed already.
