The worst part about the boat strikes - regardless of who ordered what and besides the ultimate tragedy of lives lost - is they’re forever a stain on the professionalism and dignity of the United States military.

I’m watching all this with disgust and profound sadness. We have gone from ally and leader, to unreliable and now to criminal. My Lai and Abu Ghraib were gross aberrations - and those responsible, were punished. Now, this behavior is policy. Trump and Hegseth have made our military, murders.

The focus on the Epstein files (certainly warranted) has overshadowed that the shutdown ended in yet another Continuing Resolution (CR) that only runs until 30 Jan 2026. Only the Dept. of Agriculture, Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and the Congress itself -re fully funded for the FY.

If men with guns and masks tried to pull me out of my car, I'd fight back. Courts should reject any claims by the government that this is aggression by the person being detained, resisting arrest, or that they're a flight risk.
