For all those celebrating how great Bluesky is, how it’s like it used to be at the other place before it scaled…

Maybe it’s like that first Shake Shack burger from Madison Square Park? Before there were hundreds of shacks, including one in Dubai International Airport?

Good morning, Bluesky. Today would have been Rob Hiaasen’s 67th birthday. Last week, HH Hiaasen’s memorial installation, Complete the Day, was installed in City Hall’s South Gallery, asking visitors to consider how they would complete the days of loved ones taken by gun violence. Please visit.

Has anyone noticed if the Washington Post covered Will Lewis’s resignation/firing?

Search results in its app yield nada. And the only recent result of the new CEO was when he was appointed CFO.

When I search site:washingtonpost.com in Google also get nothing.

I thought that box on the right is dynamically generated?

If so, the algorithm needs tuning.

If not, brilliant mistake or act of sabotage?

Anyway you slice it, someone is going apeshit right now. And I imagine there will be more than one meeting to discuss.

Mickey Lolich, the former Detroit pitcher, died today. He was, I think, one of the most underrated pitchers in the modern era. Go look at his stats for his 1971-72 seasons; simply one of the most amazing 2-year runs the game has seen.

I've read (and made) versions of these arguments for decoupling from X; maybe they'll get through to someone else this time.

But I haven't seen Fascintern before, and that's kind of brilliant — the second coming of the Comintern, this time from the right. Thanks!
@robin.berjon.com wisely tells us when we post on X, it’s like writing for the Daily Stormer and when you engage with the platform even without posting you are lending it credibility and ad dollars. Here is his post on not feeding the trolls berjon.com/fascintern-m...
