i do not understand this point of view at all. maybe it’s because i grew up with an N64 and PS1, but going back to them still feels GOOD to play. on OG hardware, NSO, or emulation, playing something like Mario Party 2 or Turok or Conker’s Bad Fur Day feels FUN.

People were arguing in my mentions today about whether the Earth is "round" when it's technically an irregular oblate spheroid and look "round" doesn't mean "absolutely perfect sphere" it means round. A soccer ball is round, a cantaloupe is round, a fluffy borb in winter is round, just go with it.

oh my god it ended with (post-facial) him climbing back into the bed, spent, falling back asleep, and when he wakes up it looks kinda like it never actually happened or something, he looks at her over at the monitors, and she turns with a big smile and goes "Hi, Jason, are you happy to see me?"
her response is a chipper, surprised "you wanna fuck me?" and he just responds, in a voice full of attraction and arousal, "i wanna fuck you". it doesn't feel lascivious or skeevy, it feels like ATTRACTION.

for context, i realized this by finding a porn scene with a transgender nurse (in scrubs, of course) and a man, which on an unrelated note features one of the most... unusually cute moments i've seen in porn. she starts to walk away, and he gently takes her hand and says "please don't leave."
interesting realization: i don't find "sexy nurse" costumes hot at all, but i find scrubs hot. something about someone in an ACTUAL nurse's scrubs makes it far more interesting and sexy than a flamboyant "HELLOOOOOOO NURSE" halloween costume.

I want a 4v1 horror game that is much slower paced and cerebral rather than DBD's breakneck race to discover the best meta of the moment while BHVR desperately pretends it isn't trying to maintain favor with killers as an inherently more difficult to retain player base.
