Yes. Even THIS Congress.
Let’s be clear. When the President defies the Supreme Court, it is the role of Congress to remove him from office. Full stop.

What happens when you tell the truth? You hold your head high, confident in your integrity. Let no one plant seeds of doubt.

MSNBC powers that be have made a grave error. You are a casualty of their thinking they can appease a fascist. They're going to find out soon.

@joyannreid.bsky.social ask Paul: What can/will courts do when 47 continues to defy court orders? Because you know he will.
What are the enforcement mechanisms? What consequences will he face?

Wanna-be king at once pre-butting while also giving permission to others.
the single most un-american and anti-constitutional statement ever uttered by an american president

My condolences on the loss of your mother. She played many instrumental roles in your life. We saw the result in the man you became. May her memory be a blessing to you and your family.

From our personal lives to our political lives, you'll find some wisdom here.
Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

All it takes is some work. It's well worth our time.
x
X has ~18m daily USA users. @bsky.app, ~1.5m.

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

Yep.
Someone shared this with me, and I think it's beautiful. That's what I wish for everyone I love and appreciate in this New Year 2025, that your life is filled with an abundance of real luxuries. ❤️

We need to do our part. The alternative leads to a society we won't recognize.
As we confront a second Trump presidency, here’s a path forward: 🧵

"There is no third option" goes for us non-media people too.
Our message to the media: We are either pushing back on the slide into authoritarianism, or we are enabling it. There is no third option.

Both sides-ism is how we got here. As Christian Amanpour said: “Be truthful, not neutral.”

Yep. Recognizing common humanity does not require religion.
"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all."

A graphic reminder that the guy so thoroughly mismanaged the COVID-19 pandemic that the virus is still circulating, mutating, and infecting people. THAT guy is on the cusp of assuming office again.

(And, yes, I'm fully vaccinated. Symptoms are mild. Grrr.)

If the Court sides with 45/47 on this issue, then we really will be on the brink of dissolution and/or revolution.
The birthright citizenship portion of the US Constitution is totally, inarguably unambiguous. No wiggle room. If the supreme court agrees to throw it out they are explicitly throwing out the entire document and our entire system of government.

"Don't forget why we're here" is going to be a constant mantra over the next 4 years. We can afford neither amnesia nor distraction.
Discussing blanket pardons draws us off of the real issue, the concern that Trump will pervert the criminal justice system & use DOJ as a political tool, which is forcing the Biden administration into these considerations. Don't forget why we're here.
