I have great hopes for BlueSky, since some interesting differences are quantifiable:
- knowledge communities (👉 starter packs)
- connectivity is not really power-law-like: rich get less richer here than in other platforms!

So it's not *all* young men, but a big group that have gender attitudes somehow more conservative than the attitudes held by the oldest cohort. It's among those young men - especially those who also say that they're falling short of the ideals of masculinity - that we see the worst outcomes.

I think 2. is right, but also to elaborate: reddit's data sale was the most valuable because it's specifically made up of mass human comments (as opposed to, say, NYT selling posts as data)
and now they have a system to post arbitrary things and get real time human feedback for / against them
