The Trump administration effectively says that no one should ever work with Americans during wartime; that our promises mean nothing, our word is dust, and we will throw our allies under the bus the moment we want.

In any future armed conflict, who would ever trust us again?

A reminder: Trump 1.0 ordered the Afghanistan withdrawal, and Trump 2.0 granted the shooter asylum this past April. Trump 2.0 also dismantled the joint terrorism task force, and gutted our national security apparatus.

Mr. Trump talks often about how philanthropic he is, but as reporting in The Washington Post and The Times has documented, it appears as if some of those contributions were exaggerated. Remember the Trump Foundation, which, The Times reported, he misused to…

We can be absolutely certain that the Witkoff leak shows only a very tiny portion of the exchange.

Witkoff is not experienced in SIGINT. He is a realtor, out of his depth and an easy mark for any intelligence service. There are certainly recordings.

Today one Russian newspaper writes: “With its strikes on Russia, Kyiv is demonstrating it doesn’t want peace.” But what about Russia’s continued attacks on Ukraine? Here’s a look at how one headline can say so much about Moscow’s approach. #ReadingRussia

Someone should point this out to the American administration.
But I think they know it already and chose to put they own agenda first
I’ve been looking back at my old Russian newspaper reviews. They highlight how much Russia has changed - and signs of what lay ahead. #ReadingRussia

Australia and other partners must plainly see that America’s commitment to defending democracies is fading fast.

Yes, Ukraine had spent must of the war with one hand tied behind its back
It's almost like we're just pretending to be on Ukraine's side while actively working to sabotage them.
6. Repeatedly, Trump has restricted how Ukraine is allowed to use its US arms, mostly not allowing Ukraine to attack Russia proper. The US has also restricted how Ukraine is allowed to use arms given by European countries that contain US technology.

Trump wants the money. And the big prize, accompanied by lavish praise from around the world. That's the only thing he cares about.
7. Now Trump has accepted as his a "peace" proposal hatched in the Kremlin. Its two main points are:
A. Ukraine's actual capitulation to Russia;
B. US seizure of $300bn of Russian frozen state assets, mainly in Europe.
