Are dollars replacing diplomacy in US-Russia talks?
Anyone hoping for a geopolitically robust and sustainable resolution to Russia's war on Ukraine should quickly re-examine their optimism or at least check their assumptions. Commercial interests, rat...

So, the US govt approach is:
*We are going to scan tourists social media accounts and deny visas because of content we dislike, like mocking Trump
and
*We are going to allow foreigners a work-around to consume social media content their governments have banned, including hate speech

This is a truly horrifying memo. It says that the policy of the US government will now be to proactively seek out and arrest likely tens of thousands of refugees who entered legally under Biden and subject them to detention, where they will be interrogated about their status.

This is a good resolution, but unfortunately, the question remains: how many Russians support these goals?

Once again--Trump is weakening Ukrainian air defense to help Putin kill Ukrainian civilians and damage Ukrainian infrastructure.

How many times does this need to be said before people will get it.
Zelenskyy: US promised Europe licenses to produce Patriot missiles — then refused

Germany now has no air defense missiles left to give Ukraine. Zelenskyy says it didn't have to be this way: "There were promises of licenses, but America did not go along with it"

The left also loves transit and high-speed rail, both of which would be absolutely transformative if they got built in any meaningful quantity.

But, because both require functional government capacity to be implemented well, the silicon valley techno-libertarians couldn't care less.
