I’m a lil bit manic right now and it’s manifesting as shooting off tweets back to back to back and buying red hair dye on amazon again don’t mind me tho

I love Solas for Ellana but Cullen was made for me personally

I think Josephine and Cullen bumped into each other in the hallway one time and accidentally made lip contact but it was so weird for them both like kissing your sibling that they never acknowledged it or spoke of it again

Game devs- I’ve never once played a game and thought “wow, I really enjoy that this game has ever-changing, unadjustable camera angles”. Please stop doing that.

EA wanted it to match DA Origins lifetime sales in 3 months.

They wanted it to get half of the sales DA Inquisition got in 6 years in 3 months.

Unrealistic expectations? More like intentional sabotage to gut BioWare for parts and get an excuse for less progressive art moving forward.

The way EA irreversibly and unapologetically damaged a beloved IP and franchise and more importantly sabotaged their workforce as a result should be criminal at minimum.
breathtakingly infuriating to scrap a game’s progress by insisting it pivot to live service, then realizing that isn’t working and having the team scramble to return to a more traditional single-player game, only to suggest after the fact that they shouldn’t have pivoted back

Okay I finished my Crow Rook playthrough, definitely loved the humor in the Viago interactions and Lucanis’ romance was very sweet, but I’m still a Warden and Davrin loyalist through and through

Being married to an Uzbek is all fun and games until he wants to go out for a traditional meal full of fatty meats and you have no gallbladder (it’s so good tho)

I will forever live up to my handle but I’m also so sad for the amazing people who made me this way in the first place.

I haven't been able to exactly brain what I wanna say about Dragon Age, but it's a lot. A tl;dr is probably "the game and the people involved in making it changed the trajectory of my life forever."

Apart from my favorite thing being shot in front of my eyes, what is haunting me is the state of things.

Dragon Age dying at the same time as my country rockets to fascism doesn't feel like a coincidence.

EA bought BioWare because they were first in their class for singleplayer RPGs. They wouldn't let them make RPGs their way, and split their focus between MMOs and live service games. Then they laid off a bunch of people because the company didn't meet expectations.

I wonder whose fault THAT is.
