So I have looked at this a million times now. I can't spot the contact.
Based on that, I do think the VAR moment overshadowed what should have been a great moment for Thomas Müller and the Whitecaps.
I have said this in the past about VAR. I do support it but it needs serious reform.

Further - to the shock of no one who’s been paying attention this year and last - the first 4 four games, that gave us 8 points, featured a starting Tomas Totland. #allforcity
Fun fact: there’ve only been 2 games where both Klauss and Tomas Totland started for @stlcitysc.com this year. Those games, vs COL & LAG, had a combined +3GD and a 4.0xG on 31 total shots taken. #AllForCITY
