Birds of a feather . . .

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has received a letter from Donald Trump urging him to consider granting a pardon to PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
Netanyahu has been facing a long- running corruption trial, and Mr. Trump has repeatedly asked for a pardon for his ally.

Iran is grappling with its worst water crisis in decades, with officials warning that Tehran — a city of more than 10 million — may soon be uninhabitable if the drought gripping the country continues.
This was a recent problem in Cape Town South Africa as well.
We take water for granted.

I wonder how successful a political campaign would be that promised to cancel Trump’s pardons if elected?
The unfettered power of the President to hand out pardons like Christmas favours is seriously in need of reform.

What does ‘smart money’(?) know that we don’t know? It looks like hedge fund investors think there is a recession looming driven by a loss of consumer spending (ie no money to spend). This is serious news given that the US economy is 75% consumer driven. Could even be worse than a ‘recession’.

After Trump is gone some of the very disturbing evidence about him (on several issues) will come out and he will be generally reviled. However, small groups of MAGA will continue to venerate him and hold commemoration events on his birthday.
He’ll be dead soon, but his enablers will outlive him just long enough to name a highway after him.

One of the craziest aspects of the Ostrich Farm cull ordered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency due to an outbreak of Avian Flu was the protests by the anti-vax crowd decrying the ‘murder’ of the birds.
It was a commercial operation. The ostriches were being raised “for meat and leather”.
