The sadness of fall fading away and giving way to winter reminds us that no season lasts forever. And given our current political climate, that is a good reminder to have.

Seasons Change
Though the beauty of fall lasts for so short a time, it reminds us that no season lasts forever.

I have seen this kind of poor leadership up close and personal. Indeed, we keep us safe.
Whether it's the 8 Democratic Senators who caved to Republican leadership or United Methodist bishops who gave themselves a raise in the midst of hardship for others, poor leadership for progressives is hardly surprising.

Shocking, the Browns drafted two really average quarterbacks.

I have never called for Stefanski to be fired. But I’m getting closer and closer.

Just came across this. U.S. Bishops make $186K. One hundred eighty six thousand dollars. So thankful for United Methodist bishops #strugglingforJesus. #sarcasm

The Democratic Party is useless
November 10, 2025 at 9:43 PM
There is damage done to the Democratic for even CONSIDERING giving in without getting anything.
Chris Murphy: "There will be pretty substantial damage to a Dem brand that has been rehabilitated if on the heels of an election in which the people told us to keep fighting, we immediately stop... if we surrender without having gotten anything, I worry it'll be hard to get them back up off the mat"

Mike Pence showed us all the kind of Christian he is not by standing up to trump in his treatment of immigrants, but by standing up to trump for his treatment of tariffs. The kind of Christian Pence is? An evangelical Christian.

With job cuts surging it's a good thing so many DEI programs were cut so that corporations could be freed up to go after the best employees...

I was excited about the results from Tuesday's election results up until I heard elected Democrats talk about it. My God, they REALLY do not get it. Voters do not care about about labels like socialist. We want affordability. We do not want you to go negotiate with trump. We want you to DEFEAT him.

A-F-F-O-R-D-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y

Voters don't care about if someone is a socialist or democrat or republican or marxist-leninist-trotskyite-stalinist. I also am not sure voters really care about threats to democracy or voting rights. Right or wrong, people are realizing they can't afford to live anymore.

Besides Mamdani, it really wasn't the candidates. It was how freaking pissed off the electorate is. That is why Dems are crushing it tonight. Spanberger and Sherrill are both meh. The Dem candidate for VA AG ran a truly HORRIBLE race! It wasn't you who won. It was us. We were pissed and we won.

The best part of the Spanberger win is that perhaps - probably unlikely, but perhaps - Republicans will stop politicking on their hatred of Trans people. It has been truly sickening to watch all of the campaign ads.
November 5, 2025 at 1:43 AM
No, I am relieved Winsome did not win obviously, but I am not excited about Abigail Spanberger. She is a very conservative Democrat - essentially, a Republican from the 90s. Virginia will not be moving forward on criminal justice and likely not on taxes either. This is a blah win.

I had a dream that I was on a subway with Pete Hegseth and I kept saying to him, over and over again the same line and for whatever reason (it was a dream) he could not respond. The line I kept saying was, "Diversity is our greatest strength." Yes, there is a reason I woke up in the best mood.

The obtuse and timid attitudes of Mayor Bowser and Councilmember Pinto are simply remarkable to me. They show a complete indifference to real and actual suffering of DC residents.

I feel like there should be a national registry for houses that give away healthy treats or Bible verses or tooth brushes for Halloween. This holiday is NOT for our health and well-being so get into the spirit of it!

If Christianity and capitalism have not always been fused, could it be that a more faithful following of Jesus draws us away from capitalism?

Abigail Spanberger will likely squeak out a victory, but like all Virginia Democrats she is running a safe, boring, conservative race. I will hold my nose and vote for her because her opposition is certifiable. But this vote will give me no joy. And little hope.

I have no idea why @abigailspanberger.com is running away from @jonesjay.bsky.social. Why doesn't she ask why Winsome denounces trump for calling Dems the party of Satan? Rather than staying silent, run a commercial for all of the shit trump says and does and how Winsome is completely silent on that

Wow. Sidney Reid, the DC woman just found not guilty of assaulting an FBI agent, issues a withering and gutsy statement on Trump through her attorneys.

"I feel sorry for the prosecutors really, who must be burdened by Trump's irrational and unfounded hatred for his fellow man."

It's a must-read:
