We are saddened to learn that 71-year-old Bobby Paige of McKeesport has died of his injuries a day after being struck by a driver while walking near Forbes and Oakland Ave on 10/28/25.

In the middle of a busy school zone, a driver jumped the curb and hit a woman and a 12-year-old boy on the sidewalk outside of Pittsburgh Public Schools’ Westinghouse Academy in Homewood yesterday afternoon.

It's been 10 years since a driver struck and killed Susan Hicks while she was bike commuting home from Pitt. So much has changed in the Oakland area since then.

On Oct 23rd, join Susan's friends and family, & BikePGH for a memorial and bike ride to Two Frays to celebrate her life and legacy.
