Everything is potentially interesting.
We all remember how in The Trial, when Josef K. went to enquire about the nature of his problem and he straightfowardly got an apointment in 4 weeks.
Best short story by Kafka
The head of product at "X" and guy most responsible for all the horrible algorithm and feature decisions just got KO'd by a piece of fried chicken.

You know what China's real advantage is in southamerica? They have treated us with respect and haven't toppled any government to put pet dictators.

If I were a US citizen I would expect the next 10 years after Trump leaves office or dies, to be all about investigations, trials, and people going to jail. Make it so that he becomes an eternal spectre on top of american politics.
A day will come when Donald Trump no longer dominates our politics.

Even though this is obvious, it’s hard to keep in mind.

The future will belong to those who can think clearly about what happens next.

Not long ago I was arguing that one of the main barriers for having a unified EU army is that they would have to agree to defend each other colonial territories.
Greenland is relatively close by, but what if Trump fancies that The Falklands are key to national security?
Greenland belongs to its people.
No threat or tariffs will change that.

Our response must be to remain calm, hold our ground and act in unity.

"It's the economy, stupid!"

-Proceeds to do economics based on a bunch of myths, old-nan tales, and eugenic assumptions.

If this is real I just have to admire the casual arrogance and colonial mentality of Macron. Aparently, Europe will never learn
Trump posts what appears to be a private text message sent to him by Macron

The great thing about making healthcare more socialized ia that its benwfita are so evident that no privatization plan seems cost-effective.
"When it comes time to produce something vaguely resembling a policy blueprint, Trump steps aside & the right-wing ideologues who surround him take over. His only job is to record a brief video, try to stay awake through a White House event on the subject, & then go back to not talking about it."
Trump's long-awaited healthcare "plan" is a joke
He can barely bring himself to pretend he cares.

This is as momentous as Wittgenstein's example of humanity never being on the moon becoming obsolete.
Philosophy of mind will never be the same.

-European colonial powers doing colonialism europearistically.

It's been fucking wild seeing how the US, the UK and parts of the EU have, very enthusiastically, cracked down on their own citizens and institutions on behalf of a foreign nation.
Unless you count oppression in former colonies. But we all know Israel is not another european colony, right?

Of course evangelicals follow Trump. He is the closest thing to the vengeful, petty God of the Bible. It resonates with them.
Donald Trump tied his claims on Greenland to not being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, in a letter to Norway's prime minister obtained by Bloomberg News. Full story: bloom.bg/3LPd10i

The key word that doesn't work here is "legal". There is never a "correct way" or "legal" way to protest against authoritarism. Ask any of the victims.
Bluesky posters will be like you “you think massive universal legal resistance with total support from the population works? that pales in comparison to my strategy, winning a shootout with an ICE army” and then not win a shootout with an ICE army
Oh my god theyre killing rosa luxemburg again lmao, your failure to engage in armed resistance is speedrunning you towards death camps

I think political pacifist movements can work because there's always the implicit alternative of violence.
There are always people who will engage in some form of violence against authority.

Be careful, they might also put involuntary IUDs and parenting competence tests for the locals.
More than 200,000 Danish citizens have signed a petition to buy California as a response to Trump’s attempt to take Greenland.

They say they will provide Californians with “rule of law, universal health care, fact-based politics, and a lifetime supply of Danish pastries.”

Before europeans get all high and mighty, remember that Greenland is still a european colony and that there's a big part of their population that want independence.
Like most colonizers, the Danish until very recently still perpetuated racist policies in Denmark.
Europe is very much a colonial power

Ok, but do you understand why it might piss people off, even when 90% of the people clearly understand it's an aspirational statement?
"this is not who we are" is 90% of the time a normative statement of aspiration, it's not an empirical claim of "these events have never taken place in this country before". one of the most obnoxious genres of "actually..." is reacting like it's the latter when it's clearly the former.

What americans don't understand is that latinoamerican rightwingers hold honest admiration for whatever rightwinger is sitting in the oval office.
They share the view that the US has the right to attack any left wing government.
Trump actually taking Maria Corina Machado's earned Nobel Peace Prize is such a pathetically sad and needy thing to do. Everyone knows how to manipulate Donald because he has no pride in the face of meaningless flattery.
