Yesterday, staff, faculty, and students at Bard College & Bard Academy at Simon's Rock were informed that our school will be shut down and "relocated' after this academic year, uprooting all of our lives & in the process severing our school's staff and faculty.

Pretty awful that as part of Simon's Rock move to the main Bard College campus from Hudson (which many believe will effectively kill the school), all Simon's Rock faculty and staff have been laid off.
They will have to re-apply for a much smaller number of jobs in the new location.

not to be too harsh but what’s the use of transgender representation in congress if they will immediately give in to fascist demands. genuinely what’s the purpose to this at all here

it’s about to get very, very hard to be transgender in the united states. likely harder than it’s been in american history. do not let them scare you into backing down. do not give into transphobes framing. stand up to them however you can. it shouldn’t be this way but we have to fight

disappointed in mcbride for acquiescing to this ridiculousness- caught between that feeling and not wanting to victim-blame, but to bend the knee to transphobia without so much as a fight, knowing the significance this holds to our community... all this leaves an awful taste in my mouth, honestly.
