Burnet and Boston's beautifully crafted 1900 Edwardian Baroque St George's Mansions in Glasgow. This isn't what most people imagine when they hear the words 'Glasgow Tenement', but they came in a huge variety of styles, sizes and facilities.

Also, if you borrow an author's book from a library in the UK, that author gets more than 12 pence per loan in Public Lending Rights. Any author can earn up to £6,600 per year this way.
Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.

The UK was declared measles free in 2017.

Vaccine programs completely eliminated it.

Since then, pro sickness conspiracy theorists and anti science idiots have enabled its return.
“Seven schools and a nursery have reported more than 60 suspected cases of measles in an area of north London, and labs have confirmed 34 cases since January 12. Some children have been treated in hospital.”

Lots to marvel at here, but marvel most at the fact that this went out in the schools programme education slot on a weekday. "The past is a foreign country". Not if you spoke the language.

One day I will properly tell the tale of how @andrewhickey.500songs.com basically funded the start of an entire autistic comedy industry which is now close to being self-sufficient. Not now, because I’m writing. But people should know what a good egg he is & how many careers he’s likely started.

8. Black Hill Transmissions - A Body On The Moss

The stuff that @bhtransmissions.bsky.social has put out (in gorgeous packages) is usually more driven and Coil-like but this spoken word tale of depravity near Wishaw has stayed lodged in my brain
