We're all here because Twitter became a terrible shitshow. But why didn't we leave Tumblr again? Was it just the perceived optics on Tumblr users and other internet circles? Because before whatever money making company bought that site, it actually had a lot going for it. Even now, it's got a lot.

Ghost Babel's team IIRC are the team that worked on Boktai which is still one of my top series. It's cool to see how the team that made a unique take of Metal Gear when the PS1 version was amazing, were then able to branch off into a weird fantasy world that pushed players to go outside too.
there's some stuff in ghost babel that i think is absolutely baloney, but its pixel art is absolutely gorgeous and like 80% of the game is fantastic

Earlier today I read "Newgrounds game" used as a derogatory term and I wanted to go on the record in saying we should be more grateful for that site and environment. There were a number of cool games and even brand new concepts released there.

We should all mourn ecosystems that encourage quicker

How do people generally feel about New Game + Systems? My tastes change from game to game and depending on how much is changed as well as what it means to the overall scope of playing the game.

Two early versions that I really appreciate are Astro Boy for GBA and Chrono Trigger. Both are different

Gifs probably still don't work properly on here and we all know blocking is half-assed on here (basically can't remove followers on this site).

This place is frustrating.

Camelot software used to make weird little RPGs with kobolds, dragonmen, beastmen, what have you. Now they are tasked with supporting Nintendo systems with deeper than normal sports games. I guess I wish Japanese companies could find a way to have smaller cells to keep up with their other projects.

Mewgenics has been a lot of fun so far, I like how it has been unfolding. I had a whole team wipe and the gear lost was sad but also freeing in a way.

I also appreciate collarless being used for colorless skills.

Steam discussion boards are so much worse then I imagined them. I guess I've mainly been on ones for games that have been out for a long while so the community has mostly settled. Looking at a buzz-worthy game's page and it is every single opinion and thought just barfed right up there to be seen.

RIP to a legend!
Forever a good time to keep memories of a legend alive!

My first exposure to his mighty work was Super Dodge Ball on the NES and still remains slotted firmly in my memory.

Sometimes works of art or even commercial works that people I follow share on their timeline look so lame but I try to remember that it's not worth asking when the creator or friends creator is probably sharing or mentioned nearby too. I can think of a fair number where I want to ask why support it.

Lorne Landing talking about people like Elon in a positive light broke me in a way that younger me playing Oddworld on PS1 couldn't be ready for.

People who purchase Ring cameras have to be certifiable idiots at this point.
NEW: Ring has introduced "Search Party", a horrifyingly dystopian feature nominally designed to turn all of the Ring cameras in a neighborhood into a dragnet that uses AI to look for, in their commercial, a cute lost dog.

With Ring, US consumers are actually building a surveillance dragnet.

Ring's 'Search Party' is dystopian surveillance accelerationism.

It blew me away to find that some of you live your life like social media is a real place. Touch grass used to seem over the top, like a jock yelling NERDS while going crosseyed. But honestly some of the things people worry about on here are very telling.

Now, back to my little plants and cats I go
