2 things I've learned so far this year:
1. Your user is not necessarily your customer
2. If you can't get people to set aside time for you, they won't set aside budget, either. You can figure that out without a single line of code.

I have had not 1, but 3 engineers get really excited about startup, then bail when it turns out the whole "raise $10M on an idea and a FAANG resume" is a fairy tale.

My toxic trait is being hyper aware of the fact that when I say "without libraries, I'd have never gotten out of the projects," a double digits percentage of legislators see that as an argument for banning libraries.

It is NOT difficult. Identify the oppressor. Identify their target. Protect the targeted, especially the vulnerable. The role of the persecuted is to distract the exploited and make both profitable. REBEL.
