ICE’s occupation in Memphis, the largest Black-majority city in the country, has reshaped daily life, turning grocery shopping into a mission that risks one’s family being torn apart.
I'm a veteran criminal justice reporter. I've never seen anything like ICE-occupied Memphis.

"knew" Epstein?
I wonder if the new Melania vanity-project/bribe directed by Jeffrey Epstein cohort, Brett Ratner, will devote any time to the fact that Melania knew Epstein *before* Donald. Or that Epstein introduced Donald to Melania on his plane, where they first had sex. Goodness, was she procured for Donald?
The trailer for Melania’s movie is out.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

It’s not a secret that Donald Trump has taken inspiration from several famous authoritarians of both the past and the present.

But I really didn’t think that The Hunger Games’ President Coriolanus Snow would eventually find his way onto that list.

So prescient (and fabulous!) that there's a law to preserve its name, at least; but so unfortunate that the White House and its contents (this week, the Portrait Gallery attack) isn't protected from the destruction and degradation being wrought by its megalomaniac, demented, temporary rezident (sic)
NYT: “.. it would not officially change the name of the center, which is by law designated the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.” 🤡

Thank you, @newsjennifer.bsky.social. NPR isn't even getting federal funds anymore - why would they be mealymouthing this? It's perfectly clear that the Dems have zero responsibility for the ACA crisis - it's the GOP's damage, and the GOP's unwillingness to right the wrongs they've inflicted.
"We've been here before: congressional Democrats and Republicans sparring over the future of the ACA"

Ummmm. Trump & the GOP dropped the ACA subsidies in their rich people giveaway bill last summer. Dems are trying to restore them. Come on @npr.org - don't play both sides here, it's dishonest.
