By deleting a few imp words from the E&C bill, the reconciliation bill the Hse Rules cmte is likely to advance creates an unconscionable decision for states: end health coverage for lawfully residing immigrant kids & pregnant adults or face steep federal Medicaid funding cuts.

A welcome headline, as there is so much to oppose: the Senate budget resolution is deeply flawed as it opens the door to making it harder for people to afford groceries & access healthcare – at the worst possible time as the risk of recession & price hikes rise. thehill.com/homenews/hou...

Chair Arrington’s budget resolution directs the Agriculture Committee to cut at least $230 billion. Translation: House Republicans are seeking deep cuts to #SNAP, the program that helps 42 million low-income people afford groceries, in order to give the wealthy a big tax cut.
The House Republican budget released today by Budget Committee Chair Jodey Arrington is an extreme giveaway to the wealthy at the expense of families who already have a hard time making ends meet.

Newly introduced SB 3 would flatten Ohio’s personal income tax, gutting our state's only tax based on your ability to pay. SB 3 would lower the top marginal rate from 3.5% on incomes above $100k to 3.125% on incomes above $102,400.
