And the reality that for every George Bailey there are now 20 Mr. Potter's doesn't change me still wanting to be George Bailey when I grow up.
This is the correct take. That movie is underrated. I cry every time and want to be just like George Bailey when I grow up.
Not a quote-dunk. But IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE isn’t the movie many (who haven’t seen it) think it is. It’s not sentimental for its own sake. The deep despair George feels is real, and timely, and the film’s greatness is about how he overcomes it - through the love of his friends. It’s beautiful.
