Very cool you’re a dedicated archivist. I wonder if you have captured anything and isn’t in the official audio releases such as archive.org/download/Exp...

Have you captured any video?

If this is turns out to be the case, I might be able to determine the timing of recordings using audio matching techniques. Do you know of a recorded archive of this stream?
November 28, 2025 at 12:03 PM
Apologies for being confusing. I meant it’s downlink 9 internally at nasa, not on the website. If nasa is just streaming downlink 9, the chances are that SG1 is in the left ear and SG2 is in the right ear. This is an artifact of how they capture the downlinks
November 28, 2025 at 12:02 PM
That’s channel 9 :). You could compare the audio to the transcripts on ISS in real time. It’s a shame that there’s no timecode or recordings publicly available or I would add it.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to. Link? “SG” is audio channels. “Downlinks” are video channels and there are 9 of them.

The crew onboard the ISS commemorated the 25th anniversary of having people onboard with a radio communication. Click the link to listen.
It was during the US government shutdown, so NASA has just released the mission data that includes the onboard event.

I have been recording the pubic ISS telemetry stream and also got a dump from a colleague. I have it going back 7 years or so. You’re welcomed to it (PM me). You can also record it yourself with this repo I made. github.com/bfeist/ISS-t...

My friend, David Charney and I built this over the past year on evenings and weekends. We're excited to make it available to the public in time for the 25th anniversary of sustained human presence in space (Nov 2).

NASA guy uses telescope.
My late father left me his enormous 8” astrophotography telescope. I finally got it operational last night. Visual eyepieces only (camera gear pending). Managed to snap these pics through the eyepiece.

How does this happen?
I grew up in Guelph when there were no bike lanes, so I love the new bike lanes. However, if you are creating bike lanes for people, safety cannot be an afterthought. While it's great there will be no trucks in this bi-directional bike lane on Speedvale (@ Woolwich), this is an obvious hazard.
