東京国立博物館の運慶展、展覧会の特設ショップにあった図録の写真が特に魅力的で、いつもならカタログなんて素通りしていた自分でも衝動買いしてしまうほどだった。
展覧会もすごく良かったのだけど、人が多すぎたのと、友人と一緒だったのとで、ゆっくりみてられなかった。平日ならゆっくりみられただろうか。

この記事。ぼくも友達が少ないので、めちゃくちゃ共感した。何年か前、ツイッターで「今年の目標は友達を作ること」を書いて、結局、うまくいかなかった。
記事の前半の友達を作る努力が空回りする描写も面白いし、後半では中高年男性の交友男性の乏しさについてデータも示されてる。いい記事だなあと思っていたのだが、ツイッターで記事の感想を読んだら「冗長」「エモい」「キモい記事」等、めちゃくちゃに叩かれていた。
ただ、この記事について賛否が割れる理由もわかる。続く。

I never appreciated how some people during heated arguments casually make accusations about the other person throwing "word salad". perhaps now the fact should be especially appreciated that that person is an agent with intent to communicate something.

A word salad is a "confused or unintelligible mixture of seemingly random words and phrases" ... The words may or may not be grammatically correct, but they are semantically confused to the point that the listener cannot extract any meaning from them.

engagement with the AI chatbot is closer to the order of dreams; as there is no communication proper. in essence there is no meaning transmitted. it has effects in the way dreams have effects: it produces hallucinatory associations, affects, fragments that are interpreted.

It alarms me that so many parties and candidtates running for tomorrow's election in Japan seem like bad actors trying to capitalize on the chaos around immigration in the US and other places in the world.

brainrot is severly painful problem when so many people I meet here tell me how they hate the South Asian immigrants in their home countries (and here) and I'm forced to listen quietly getting sick in my stomach thinking about what's going on in the US and incable of responding with any thought.
