In Sydney end of November? The virtual band Big Sand is performing live!

I’ve been helping out with some of the tech behind the scenes, and I’m really excited for people to check it out!

I've been working with my friend on a live show for a virtual band at the end of this month. This video goes into the fancy cameras, Unreal trickery, and puppetry that makes up the show.

My virtual sci-fi band played SXSW Sydney! Here's what happened.

Decided to use a free day to complete my Flinders St Station model. I had some spare pieces from another kit to fix the flag

"250x bigger and lost" is pretty insane. Imagine 250 Steam competitors all spinning their wheels

And it's not like the labor is crap. It's not like thousands and thousands of people did their job wrong

They had shit captains who will experience no repercussions for Shadow Realming billions of $$$

Another reminder that almost every games executive is a fucking idiot who doesn’t understand the industry at all.

I don’t wanna get all ‘let gamers make games’ or anything, but it’d be nice if those in charge of the livelihood of thousands of employees actually had any idea what they were making.
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

As Zohran has pointed out, these NYC billionares have already spent waaaaaaay more on attack ads against him than he ever would have taxed them in four years.
They're trying to apply the classic conservative tactic of "I am willing to hurt myself to hurt someone I don't like more." but trying to make it appeal to the left by targeting rich people, and it just seems so fucking stupid because it's obvious that rich people dgaf about bus fare.

Waypoint Constellations this year was something special. It’s at that sweet spot where they’re able to find talented speakers from across the state, but keep the energy tight knit and the talks uniquely weird.

Last night wasn’t just a night about games, it was truly about the people making them ✨

How can a politician be this good on the issues AND this funny?
It’s pronounced cyclist.

It’s been an amazing week - an exhausting week. Take a moment to congratulate yourself on making it through.

It’s also important that we listen to our bodies coming away from these events. If it’s telling you that you need to faint and cough up blood, give yourself the patience and space to do so.

Blessed are the frogs, for they keep making authoritarians look incredibly stupid

I’m genuinely impressed just how smooth the #paxaus evacuation was for a 20k+ person event. Good work everyone, especially all those poor cosplayers in stilts navigating down those ramps.
October 11, 2025 at 5:31 AM
Well at least this evacuation really shows just how big PAX has gotten

Parallels was a great time, but wow do some people need to learn to shut the fuck up once the talks start

After a day of recovery from post-AGDAs partying, I’m finally checked in to @free-play.bsky.social Parallels for another year of killer game talks

Highlight of my GCAP this year was getting to hear from the great @jesawyer.bsky.social, who flew half way around the world and fought jet lag to excitedly answer all our game design questions!

Anyone who missed out, get in quick!
Know someone who missed out on Parallels tickets? We rummaged around and found a few more in our pockets - but they're very limited!

I haven’t finished Silksong yet, but I’m fairly confident that the Clockwork Dancers will be my favourite boss fight in a game full of great fights.

They tell you exactly how they are gonna kick your ass, and then they kick your ass

There’s a lot of cool shit at the ACMI gift shop this week, but this was a must buy for me. It contains an exclusive interview with Team Cherry and a ton of design notes and concept art
October 5, 2025 at 2:30 AM
If you’re going to be visiting ACMI for the games exhibit this #MIGW, try to make 20 mins to see Charge! Agincourt.

A spin on Henry V with cardboard, with some great performances and a creative use of split screen, I was really impressed!

increasingly convinced preventing americans from getting their little packages is the thing that will take this government down
How bad are tariffs going?

I paid for $32 of shaving cream from Canada. Unique stuff I’ve used for years, nothing like it in US. Small family business.

UPS guy came to my door today with box and said I have to pay additional $120 before he can hand it to me.

That makes it 5x more expensive!!! 🤯
