Decided to use a free day to complete my Flinders St Station model. I had some spare pieces from another kit to fix the flag

Great work as usual, Google AI

In Sydney end of November? The virtual band Big Sand is performing live!

I’ve been helping out with some of the tech behind the scenes, and I’m really excited for people to check it out!

Waypoint Constellations this year was something special. It’s at that sweet spot where they’re able to find talented speakers from across the state, but keep the energy tight knit and the talks uniquely weird.

Last night wasn’t just a night about games, it was truly about the people making them ✨

Well at least this evacuation really shows just how big PAX has gotten

After a day of recovery from post-AGDAs partying, I’m finally checked in to @free-play.bsky.social Parallels for another year of killer game talks

Highlight of my GCAP this year was getting to hear from the great @jesawyer.bsky.social, who flew half way around the world and fought jet lag to excitedly answer all our game design questions!

I haven’t finished Silksong yet, but I’m fairly confident that the Clockwork Dancers will be my favourite boss fight in a game full of great fights.

They tell you exactly how they are gonna kick your ass, and then they kick your ass

There’s a lot of cool shit at the ACMI gift shop this week, but this was a must buy for me. It contains an exclusive interview with Team Cherry and a ton of design notes and concept art

If you’re going to be visiting ACMI for the games exhibit this #MIGW, try to make 20 mins to see Charge! Agincourt.

A spin on Henry V with cardboard, with some great performances and a creative use of split screen, I was really impressed!

Getting the hang of Unreal's Metasounds, now we're able to get objects listening to the output and bouncing to the music 🎶

Insanely specific nitpick, but it bothers me the GCAP 2025 schedule app still has a link for Twitter, but not one for BlueSky yet.

One of my favourite parts of level design is creating piles of junk as barriers for player movement

I’ve just discovered Letterboxd has a feature to shuffle your watchlist every time you refresh it, so the movies way down in my list finally have a chance to pop up again

Obsessed with these tiny fairy doors I kept finding around Brisbane on my trip there last weekend

I think the divisive takes I've seen about Alien: Earth can be summed up by how on board you are with the whole Peter Pan analogy they're doing. I'm enjoying it so far, but I can see why it isn't gelling with some people

Ur watch
July 30, 2025 at 6:23 AM
Now that season 1 of Murderbot is out, I can safely reccomend it as one of the most solid seasons of TV in 2025.

The dynamic between Alexander Skarsgard and David Dastmalchian's characters had me in tears by the end, and all I want right now is to watch a Rise and Fall of Sancturary Moon spin-off

When your towns wikipedia page has a 'Racism' sub section in Arts and Culture, you might be in trouble.

My long awaited copy of ‘How a Game Lives’ has finally arrived, and I’m in love with the artworks for each essay

Shout out to the recent massively underrated ‘Muppets Mayhem’ series, the exact Muppety balance of silly and sweet
