It's NOT in Your Head: Surviving Medical GASLIGHTING
Have you ever left a doctor's office with more questions than answers, feeling like you weren't heard, or worse, like you were crazy? You're not alone, and it's not in your head. This is the story of medical gaslighting, the silent epidemic where women's symptoms are dismissed, minimized, and blamed on their emotions. Join us as we expose the shocking history of healthcare bias, tracing a direct line from the archaic diagnosis of "female hysteria"—once blamed on a "wandering uterus"—to the modern-day dismissal of legitimate pain. We’re investigating why women with everything from autoimmune diseases to heart conditions are experiencing delayed diagnoses, and how this systemic failure is causing not just physical harm, but severe anxiety and healthcare PTSD. We'll also pull back the curtain on the multi-billion-dollar wellness industry. Is it a safe haven for women failed by traditional medicine, or a predatory system profiting from our pain with unproven promises? From crystals to cleanses, we’re asking the tough questions. This podcast is more than a discussion; it's a toolkit for patient advocacy. It’s for every woman who has ever been told her pain is "just stress." It’s time to stop second-guessing ourselves and start demanding the care we deserve. If you’re ready to reclaim your health story and fight back against a broken system, you’ve found your community. Follow us now to join the conversation, and leave a 5-star review if you believe it's time for change—it helps this vital message reach more women who need to hear it.

🩺 Health data isn’t just what’s recorded—it’s what’s missing.
Missed visits. Unreported symptoms. Cultural stigma.

These gaps fuel health risks for underserved communities.

At SRI, we build digital health tools that find what’s missing—and why.

Dear Elsi people, I have a manuscript on trans data in biobanks. Where do you think is the best venue for it to submit?

One argument used by transphobes in court against puberty blockers is that if children assigned male at birth is “how will they experience sexual pleasure if their genitals don’t develop [from testosterone].”

And I think the appropriate response is: “Objection—skill issue!”

Also, why only female category? What if an alien like super man go compete in male category? Oh what? super man is a man? Ok biological experts my mistake!
The end result of this is that a bunch of cis women athletes are going to find out they're intersex.
World Athletics mandates gene tests for female category eligibility

Why do bioethicists LOVE the concept of “equipoise” in shared decision making? It’s like a general criticism that they make on any SDM paper.

Am I being unprofessional? I don’t know. Does it matter?
I wish I was dead. Academia doesn’t want me. No country wants me and I feel the loneliest. I should have been writing my dissertation but all I am thinking is that no matter what I write it ends up being illegal or not counted as philosophy cause it is “unoriginal” according to my department.

With all my heart, I feel why Sarah Hegazi wrote: “I tried to survive and I failed.” These days, I am failing and I am so sorry that I am not strong as before…

My department send me an evaluation letter telling me that they want my work to be “original “ and they do not see any progress like a professional philosophy. I have two papers in R&R. One is Published. The only reason that I can think of is that they do not accept trans philosophy as philosophy.

I feel so numb and lonely. These are dark days for trans history. We survive and throve tho for sure….
