An RPG in the 40K setting works way better than I expected, it's super cool trying to be a traditionally "good" person in a hopelessly grimdark setting. Especially when the only way to do tangible good is through authoritarian means. Don't talk about Rykad Minoris, beloved subjects

Kinda sucks not even canon can distinguish the differences between the different magicks these days. I guess fel was only taboo because green is scary

"Arator kept breaking the rules by being TOO nice and helpful" is so funny
It seems like they're properly explaining some of the hierarchy within the Silver Hand, with a distinction between Knights and Lords based on accomplishment.
Also doing a reframing of the Silver Hand much more towards being a militant order, it's all very 'Jedi Order' feeling.

Since class quests are long gone and trainers are effectively flavor NPCs now, they should have little lore blurbs that explain how their class relates to their race's society and ideologies and jazz. "Here's what a Blood Knight is and why it's different.", etc

Now that I've slept on it I think dislike GdT's Frankenstein even more. It strips away the themes about ambition, playing god, and Mary Shelley's perspective on things like misogyny for a much more basic and shallow cycle of abuse theme - Victor's dad isn't even abusive in the book!

I think if you get personally upset when a character doesn't like your faction of choice you should play another game. Animal Crossing villagers are mean sometimes, so that's too advanced. Maybe like a Sesame Street game?

Special dialogue if you go there as a blood elf, very *very* clear that they have no intention of being friends with the Horde.

Folks demanding political / ideological purity fail to see that this is no longer a movement belonging to the left / liberals. This is an opposition against fascism. By definition it must be big tent. Failure to grasp this: see divided oppositions in Eastern Europe as your failed examples.

I think what's especially annoying re: Silvermoon and Banning Warlocks is that Warlocks SHOULD be treated as taboo and undesirable and shunted to the fringes of society... except for specifically the blood elves, who's major turning point in history was embracing it as a fixture of their society

I hate the "Any race that can be a priest can be a paladin" logic because it entirely ignores the culture of WoW's races. Forsaken have priests but in-game the NPCs are all specifically shadow priests. The orc version of a paladin is the enhancement shaman because that's THEIR religion.

I think WoW kinda fumbled Allied Races. Given the name you’d think they’d be groups like High Elves and Broken or Stonemaul ogres and Outland Mag’har — groups who don’t constitute a nation but are already part of the factions
