On Tuesday, the court unsealed the affidavit that led to the search of Fulton County's election office.

Elections expert and CEIR Executive Director David Becker shared his analysis on CBS News, calling the affidavit "pretty weak."

“Trump constantly says our elections are rigged,” Becker said. “That’s 100 percent false. Our elections are as secure and transparent as they’ve ever been, by every measure. It’s one of the places you can say government works best.”

There’s gotta be a German word for the cursed experience of reading the Fulton County affidavit after reporting on the 2020 election in extreme detail. Even redacted, every niche witness jumps out—many conspiracy theorists with no real expertise. The US government treating them as credible is nuts.

This affidavit was much weaker than I suspected. No allegations of intent. No allegations of election theft. No allegations of foreign interference. No allegations that the statute of limitations doesn't apply.

At worst, it alleges human error, during a pandemic, that didn't affect the outcome.

Today, the Michigan district court joined two other federal courts (CA and OR) in denying DOJ the right to seize sensitive voter data (SSN, DL, DOB) on millions of Americans. The DOJ is now 0-3 in these cases (with 22 left to go), and yet they are still pressuring states for this data.
JUST IN: A federal judge in Michigan has rejected the administration's attempt to obtain the state's voter rolls.

Judge Hala Jarbou, a Trump appointee, said the law does not require the state to turn them over.
