You know when you see a teapot like this with a spout like that you're about to have the best damn brew of your life.

Ok...

I'm drunk in the back of the car
And I cried like a baby coming home from the bar (oh)
Said, "I'm fine, " but it wasn't true
I don't wanna keep secrets just to keep you...
If you see this, post a bridge.

This is all very People's Front of Judea / Judean People's front
Corbyn's party now has more leaders than members. And he's not one of them.

Jesus fucking christ
you know I wouldn't say I had high hopes for "the Spectator interviews the Tate brothers" anyway but somehow the piece is worse than I thought it would be

One of the few reasons I stay on god awful pay working in a school is that the pension is at least still decent!
There is also an important historical context to the UK figures. The UK state pension has traditionally been low because occupational pensions were widespread. Most of those have now closed in the private sector, but are still paying out to existing pensioners. Things won’t be as rosey in future.

This is why I don't understand how people think the solution is Andy Burnham. Yes he's been a good major of Manchester but his leadership campaign was disastrous. It was literally "these are my opinions and if you don't like them, I have others".
The core problem for Starmer is that what made him Labour leader and prime minister was his ability to judge what the audience in front of him wanted to hear - to work out which narrative would get him to the next step on the board. But you can't run a country on storytelling.
Good enough at politics to become PM. Not good enough at politics to be PM. The election campaign was either dishonest or deluded. Presented with any chance of wiggle room over taxes or Brexit, he went out of his way to remove it. Failed to take multiple opportunities since and ignores the PLP.

@stephenkb.bsky.social I've been thinking about it and you're wrong (can't find the post to reply to). The reason the only song that sounds like the end of a long term relationship is "so long, London" is because that's pretty much the only one she's written.

I've dug out an ancient MP3 player over the summer and the difference in quality just using my cheap wired headphones Vs streaming with Bluetooth is quite startling! (Yes I know you can change the quality when streaming but even the "high" quality isn't great)

Seriously @theguardian.com ? Would an article about a male singer getting engaged include a list of their exes?

Omg, London streets are clearly terrifying. How does anyone leave their house?? (This is sarcasm just in case anyone misses that)

Has the author actually watched the podcast pictured? If they had they would see that he has zero problem with her being a superstar and is one of her biggest fans. Journos really do get bored in August, don't they?

Also, as a general rule the hotels used can generously be described as shit holes. Like no one was booking them before they were used for this, and there was a reason.
"It's a fun little hotel stay"

No, like, dude, they can't cook.

You can tell where my head is right now that I saw this and my first thought was "why is Taylor Swift drawing maps?"
Oh the irony.
