What would you do in this situation: You're working during the shutdown for free. They sent out a letter that says you can't take sick leave unless you get a Dr note first saying you need to take one or can be fired. You've a major dental appt for ongoing work over a yr. Do you still go, or wait?

Yes, I DID meal prep some dump and run dinners today. Do I do this often? No! Did I make 3 different recipes? Yes! I have 3 more to prep, but the meats needed have yet to thaw enough for me to incorporate them appropriately. Gotta love a shut down.

Trick or treating in the #pnw is on point tonight. It's dumping rain on and off. The kids have coats over their costumes, parents have umbrellas. Some kids are getting driven in cars. All have been polite. Even had a solo kid walk up to the bowl we left outside - took 1 maybe 2 candies & left
