Don't suppose anyone has connections to folks that work on Prettier?

Seeing if I can get a PR in to make it less collapse-happy on destructuring and multi-line calls:

Anyone have connections to urban planning, especially around housing and transportation, in NYC? Have a senior engineer I know looking to get their foot in the door.

On the list of petty things I have done is grabbing the `bw` gem entirely for vanity, but also to start putting all the little tools and snippets I keep on collecting into one gem that I can just install and have a kit to play with:

github.com/baweaver/bw

(It's empty now, mostly parked name atm)

Give @lorencrary.bsky.social some love, PSF made a hard call, but they made the right call:

That's how you lead with integrity.
TLDR; The PSF has made the decision to put our community and our shared diversity, equity, and inclusion values ahead of seeking $1.5M in new revenue. Please read and share. pyfound.blogspot.com/2025/10/NSF-...

Sounds like Ruby is going 4.0 for Christmas this year. Wonder what the final breaking change was that got it over the line for a major bump.

Coincidentally it's also the 30th anniversary of Ruby.

How are Ruby folks dealing with larger-scale synthetic testing data creation? Thinking multi-record build-outs with system/domain events to get them to a point as a testing stage.

Currently thinking orchestration layer around FactoryBot, but curious what others are up to.

Remember last Friday's wave of US govt accounts joining? Sure enough, mass blocking and ignoring them works, haven't seen anyone mention them in anger in the past day.

Starve them of oxygen. it works.

Regarding the recent Ruby Discord drama I've had Molnar blocked on sight across multiple platforms now and nothing of value has been lost.

He's more interested in incendiary politics and starting shit than he is actually talking tech. Block and move on, he's not worth the time.
