Why do homeless people not take advantage of programs that could get them off the streets? Often those come with unacceptable limits, like no pets when your faithful k9 companion would be required to go into an animal shelter. Would you give up your beloved pet?

Fox & Friends need education.

Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade, speaking about homeless folks refusing programs: “Involuntary lethal injection. Or something. Just kill ’em.”
In the USAF, we had a way to allow a thoughtless statement to pass. A "pop-off" let a senior walk back a momentary stupid statement.
Brian should use it.

If I wanted to make a safe wager, I'd lay serious $$ on Kirk's shooter being a RWNJ, someone who was mad at him for not being radical enough. Next, a long shot 20%, is it's a pissed off loved one of a school shooting victim. 2% chance false flag, like Israel, or Trump distraction. Thoughts?

I can only imagine how disappointed Fred Rogers would be with Trump.

Today is the anniversary of the first human in space, the first person to orbit the Earth, and the first skydive from a spacecraft! Yuri Gagarin jumped from his Vostok about two miles up and parachuted the last bit because Vostok's landing force was too hard.

When I joined the military my recruiter said I was the easiest enlistment he ever had, what with my being a Boy Scout in both literal and metaphorical meanings. Now for me to "be earnest and do the right thing," to quote Georgiou in ST:D.

NYE1999 as I waited for my Y2K midnight skydive at a strip club with a coworker, she said she always wanted to hold a dick while he peed. I tipped the bathroom attendant for privacy and tried, but I just couldn't make it flow. She thanked me for trying, I thanked her for holding my dick.

An annoying thing about movies and TV is the confusion between a psychiatrist and a psychologist. One helps you understand what's going on in your head. The other prescribes pills. Both can be "doctors," but only one is an MD. And no one knows which Harley Quinn is.

I don't have much faith in the US justice system when SC Justice Scalia said, "Mere factual innocence is no reason not to carry out a death sentence properly reached." If finding out someone was innocent but still convicted and sentenced to death, it sure SHOULD BE up to the court to liberate him.

Student loan forgiveness makes sense. It's gone beyond helping people pay for education and turned into squeezing cash from people who long ago repaid the amount they borrowed. It's a racket, unjust and immoral, and any loan that reaches beyond the money that was borrowed should be cancelled.

Limits release creativity. Want to get creative? Put a limit on. Zemeckis did with "Here" when he told a story from one point of view with unchanging camera position and focal length. "1917" told a story with one (simulated) continuous shot. Our own lives are made precious by our limited lifespan.

Mary & I had the pleasure of joining the studio audience for The Late Show w/Stephen Colbert in NYC. Great show, super fun music performances. Only weird thing was the security guys posted at the corners of the Ed Sullivan theater. Was a little off-putting, I kept worrying I might do something sus.

In 2006 I thought W was the worst president the USA could possibly have. Ten years later I thought Cheeto H!tler was the worst president possible. Now I see Leon Musk is the worst president ever. Can we please declare Leon the winner and stop this game of "Worst President?"

When armies invade, the people in the invaded countries switch or remove street signs and other geo identification. While not as effective with GPS, it still gums up the works & slows down the invaders. Same thing invading a government office and/or computer system. Do not comply with invaders!

So where the fuck is Kamala now? We need a face and voice in opposition to Cheeto H!tler. Is she being filtered out by RW media, or has she retreated to a cottage in the woods? (Can't say I'd blame her if it was the latter. Is like to do the same)

"What Would Roy Cohn Do?" I am sick to death of sternly-worded letters or resolutions, or even steely but polite protests. The other side doesn't dick around like a cuckold gently weeping in the corner while Lady Liberty and Justice get railed by the GQP and Cheeto H!tler.

Over the weekend this college in New Port Richey thought it best to ignore President Carter and fly the flag at full staff. I disagreed and dropped it to honor the president who served his country in a Navy uniform.

I've noticed that "politically correct" is simply insisting people be polite. Taking others needs into account. Living the Golden Rule. The worst ham-handed PC still comes from a kind place, trying to stop inconsiderate words that might hurt another. The "Right" can't say that.

We're giving it a try, raising potatoes and garlic in our garden. Any move toward food self sufficiency is a step in the right direction. Next attempt: strawberries!

It's kinda silly, but I'm grateful that I have a high-def copy of the original Star Wars trilogy in non-enhanced form. No extra SFX, no horrible Jabba animation, no "Greedo shot first." Just the way George and company put it together for theaters 1977-1983.

When I look at this Nativity silhouette I see two T-Rexes fighting over a table saw. So I got an ornament to recognize my vision of the holidays. Does anyone else see the dinos fighting?

My honey isn't just a doctor, she's a musician. Specializing in keyboard, she's trained in piano and accordion, and starting at 13 years old was playing for money at polkas! She's so busy she hasn't played since 2017, but we begged and she gave in during NYE.

President Carter honored with flags flying half staff over the nation he served. I wanted to vote for him my first election but couldn't (long story.) So I volunteered on his campaign in my new Indiana home.

I gave our kitties a treat by making catnip tea and putting the tea in a diffuser. Bruiser Apollo was the only one brave enough to investigate. He felt overcoming his trepidation was worth it. (The others are curious but keeping their distance for now.)

So a grand jury indicted Mario Mangione on murder/terrorism. Yeah, the oligarchs want to make an example of him fer shur. At least they got one thing right, this was a political act.
