Turns out, this account is just super liberal politics and pro-Libby propaganda. 🤷‍♀️

Or a cozy woodland cabin during the worst blizzard the area has seen in decades. I also need a charcuterie board and some wine to balance the pastries and tea, and I need at least one furry creature to accompany me.
At the end of the day, don’t we all just want to read books, drink tea, and eat pastries in a humble seaside cottage during a raging storm?

“Activities” in general are optional. Be present, allow them to play with whatever items they want (that are safe) and see what their minds create, and include them in the tasks you would normally do without them (cooking, self care, etc.). Kids want someone PRESENT, not necessarily someone “fun”.
As I’m doomscrolling on other apps, the algorithm brings up tons of activities for young kids, most of them labeled with the term “sensory”. As if kids don’t have enough sensory opportunities in their world. I hope caregivers know activities are optional, not mandatory.

We’re cancelling the guilty part of guilty pleasures. Wanna read romance books and drink cheap wine? Valid. Watch the trashiest reality show and scroll through Amazon? I support this. Listen to the same early 2000s pop song a thousand times in a row? Why stop there? Find that joy and SQUEEZE.

Art class should never stop being a thing. Like if right after lunch we all got to go down to the basement for an hour, throw on a smock, and make collages out of old magazines while somebody's eccentric, slightly witchy aunt tells us how great we're doing, I feel like we'd all be in a better place.

I don’t have Arfid but it’s so important to recognize other eating disorders!
I have a form of eating disorder called
Arfid which I have had since I was born
which is where I eat a limited variety of
preferred foods. The sensory issues that
come along with my eating disorder are
to do with certain smells and textures
but It’s not often spoken about.
