He said even less about his posting to Burma and fighting the Japanese. But amongst his medals was the Burma Star.

He hated the Japanese, he gave me this book👇. He was not happy about my buying Japanese manufactured products, but had no qualms about my buying German ones🤔

Code Yikes!

This year recorded the 3rd hottest peak temperature since daily records began in 1940 at 16.86°C. This is likely the 3rd hottest peak temperature in the last 120,000 years.

By comparison, the pre-industrial baseline average yearly max was 15.48°C.

Global sea-surface temperatures are continuing to be record hot compared to any pre-2023 year.

Over the last 3 years, the oceans have warmed on average by the equivalent of 870,000 Hiroshima bombs worth of heat per day.

Is it hopelessly naive to read these sad evaluations and still be able to think that even the smartest of us can still be wrong at times?

The sad thing is John johnhenry531.bsky.social, is to be aware of humanity heading towards the bottleneck of the poly and meta-crisis predicament, result of humanity’s ecological overshoot, in the belief human exceptionalism will find a solution…

Maybe not a tipping point like climate heating or biodiversity loss, Oil based Microplastic pollution is nearing an irreversible point where it starts to impact human health and reproduction.

What! don’t believe me, then listen to (in 60 secs) Rhonda Patrick PH.D👇

There’s so much thermal inertia in Earth’s climate system, that if we (Humanity) stopped burning FF’s tomorrow it’s very unlikely those alive now would see a reduction in temperature in their lifetime.

What we should be doing is climate adaption, question is will we🤔
