Brexit is now not just an awful, poorly thought out endeavour.

It's now a threat to national security.

The USA & Russia are belligerent nations, actively working against and with scornful disregard of European national sovereignty.

United we can stand against them.

Divided we are sitting ducks.

The EU and the South American bloc Mercosur signed a free trade agreement on Saturday in Paraguay

This is the European Union's largest ever trade deal, creating a market of 700 million people

When will this Brexit nonsense end and sanity return to UK politics? #RejoinEU

Interesting imbalance in how many people think of AI: If it's for something they consider a chore, or a field of work they find useless, AI is fine. But woe, woe if AI should judge or replace their work! So if you are noisily advocating for #AI in somebody else's field, reflect on hypocrisy first.

Not for academics it isn’t. You learn by reading and by following citation chains and talking to other people in the field. Letting the AI do the summary is abdicating your job.

As was true with the translators I heard from in an earlier edition, copywriters never felt that they were being replaced because the AI's work was better. It was almost always worse. It was simply cheaper and faster, and deemed "good enough" by clients.

They can't.
