They've chatting to this guy on FiveLive and I genuinely think it's the least funny thing I've ever heard in my entire life.

Didn't think it was possible to be that unfunny.

Honestly quite impressive with how bad this act is.

I hate those brands that you don't hear a peep out of all year and then they pop up 6 weeks before Xmas making out they're an important part of daily culture.

I reckon Pandora are the worst for this, but there are tons of them. Sod off.

I am delighted to report that the Financial Ombudsman have upheld my complaint against Bikmo/Hiscox, and advised them to pay out plus 8% interest since the claim, plus £100 for my hassle.

They can still appeal, and I fully expect them to try to screw me out of something, but anyway, yay.
Bikmo are still flatly refusing to pay my insurance claim after my bike was stolen because this does not fit their description of a bike store (because I don't pay a subscription for it and it's provided as part of the work building)

Absolute bunch of criminals.

All of these companies who are replacing junior roles with AI - what exactly is their plan for a few years time?

The execs making these decisions - what exactly are they going to tell their kids and their grandkids?
Chilling piece on employment effects of AI on early careers. Includes this line, which will probably become the norm for many firms: "Managers at Shopify must now justify hiring a human by first explaining why AI can’t do the job."

AI is taking entry-level jobs. What happens when Gen-Z-ers can’t start their careers?

Ooooh excellent she annoyed me this week and we had an argument, that's a ten minute segment on the pod right there

Those famous couples who do those 'chat about our relationship' sort of podcasts must have the most pitifully depressing lives.

Every single thing, every day being assessed as to whether it can be used as content. Grim.

I suppose the level of CO2 in a podcast studio does affect the pitch at which you shout BUY HUEL at people over and over again, so fair enough
November 16, 2025 at 5:48 PM
"It's the monitoring of the CO2 levels in the studio while we record"

This feels like an ad written, directed *and* acted by people who have
1. Never played a game
2. Never watched anyone play a game
3. Never seen anyone interact with Alexa
4. Never seen anyone interact full stop
5. Never been alone in a room?
just saw the worst gaming ad ive ever seen

If you sponsor a podcast, do not insert a guest into the line up FFS, especially if your company isn't really that relevant to the subject being discussed.

So, so, jarring. Urgh.

Skip.

A day at the Hudl conference. Futuristic football, AI, Edin Terzić soul-searching and Damien Comolli charming the room with Wenger anecdotes. Good stuff. A pleasure to finally see what goes on in these things.

That was quite a day.

Nice to see so many old faces and thanks to all the speakers and our Hudl team for making it happen.

Oh, and the only reason I parked at the leisure complex is because the only bus from near my house to do the 6 miles into Leeds takes 80 minutes in the morning

The productivity problems of the north of England are a real mystery
A lovely little illustration of how shit the public transport is in Leeds.

I need to get a bus from the city to a leisure complex in Kirkstall.

My options are the half hourly A1 airport bus or the 875 and 876. Their schedule shown below:
