‘Wicked,’ ‘Slaughterhouse-Five’ among new batch of books banned at area schools
Katy ISD has banned 14 new books since the start of the school year in August. Several of the titles have been in circulation for more than 60 years.

The South Carolina law @heykellyjensen.bsky.social describes here- that will result in the SC State Board of Ed deciding the fate of an 8th grade ELA textbook, A House on Mango Street, Bronx Masquerade & Crank -sounds nearly identical to the amendment filed this week by TX Rep Jarred Patterson.
Four more books are up for statewide ban consideration in South Carolina.
This time, the charge is being led by ONE PARENT.

Just found out that my book on asexuality has sold over 11,000 copies since it came out two and a half years ago! I wish this meant I was rich (lol) but it does mean I might be making a little bit of a difference for people and that means a lot 💕
