What is it with Trump appointees getting into office and deciding to live so extravagantly it makes the House of Bourbon look understated and minimalist.
the scuttlebutt about noem and lewandowski’s relationship is fun, but don’t miss that they used OBBA money to lease/buy an expensive private plane that said was for deportations but are instead using to jet around the country

Ah yes I remember the time my neighbors and I all had the opportunity to vote for Rick Scott to make decisions for us as residents of DC!

My closest friends from high school and I are still close. I moved out of state eleven years ago but we still keep a good rapport going.
watching John Green talk about his buddy from high school who is still his friend and I’m curious, is that common for people on here?

I really do think a plurality of the American people basically want a Republican president with roughly the same public policy as Barack Obama in 2012.

I wonder how many Post employees could be employed by the $75 million Jeff Bezos spent on the Melania movie.
WaPo's Matt Murray told staff the paper is shuttering sports, moving remaining staff to features, shrinking foreign coverage, restructuring metro, closing books coverage, suspending Post Reports podcast

“Whole company now waiting for a live or die email” one staffer said

That well known rallying cry “Commonsense reform for ICE!”
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

When I worked for the Michigan State House and helped get people back on Medicaid after they’d been kicked off it I was paid $25,000 a year.
Bari Weiss attended a fundraiser last night in NYC, attendee tells me. There was an auction item for dinner with her and wife Nellie Bowles. Several people cheered in approval, many others said after how gross it was. Bari shouted out “And you can make out with Nellie!” It ultimately sold for $55k.

Gov. Shapiro basically looked at Joe Lieberman’s career and thought that’s what the Democratic base craves in 2028.
Josh Shapiro can go fuck himself. So goddamn tired of this self-absorbed empty suit.

I think it’s a sign of how a lot of us are Too Online (and/or how much certain assumptions about Democrats are baked in) that the average American thinks Chuck Schumer is roughly as far left as Mike Johnson is far right.
How would you describe the political viewpoint of the following person? (% of U.S. adult citizens)

I do not mean to dunk on this person but if you are actually concerned about state surveillance you would throw your phone into the ocean and delete all of your social media accounts, but I don’t see these people doing that.

“All of these sources support mass deportation” what did y’all think mass deportation meant? vibes? papers? essays? losers.
Bill Melugin of Fox News may be the best-sourced journalist within ICE and CBP. If he's hearing this, the administration has a real problem.
