Meanwhile the chair they sit in catches fire, threatening to consume them completely. One of the men regards the flames with unconcerned, open eyes, the other remains unmoved, as if the fire cannot wake him. An angelic androgynous-masculine being with multiple pairs of wings crouched down on a ground spattered with gold. They have dark skin, long curly white hair, and cyan and red eyes. They are garbed in a white flowing garment which pools around them on the ground, and gold jewelry. They are seen from a high vantage point, the character looking up and reaching their hand to touch some unknown surface, which ripples where their finger displaces it. I bought these two frames at a thrift shop - one is inlaid marquetry, the other is a unique metal design. They inspired these cross stitch pieces.

OK, friends. So a few weeks ago, I went to a lagoon and collected a jar full of a bit of sand, 2 types of macro algae, some salt water, and of course a whole host of critters along for the ride.

Wild collected spider (perhaps Badumna longinqua or Badumna insignis--open to other ideas?). capturing a cricket and dragging it back into her hide. Collected in California where I know these native Australian species have been introduced.

More spider pics anyone? This is my brown widow. She just made her first egg sack since I caught her. Gonna carefully remove it and let the babies hatch in a coffee filter style vented deli cup since I'm curious. Then freeze them since they are invasive here.

Mmmmk gang. Tonight I went rock flipping looking for some grub for some of the spiders I'm keeping. Found some cool little beetles which we shall see if they go for. Also hung out with an earwig which was very fun!
