Sorry for the radio silence the last few weeks. It’s been a rough few weeks in education, especially in Texas, for obvious reasons. Times like these make me glad I’m not a frequent social media user.

The new Texas education laws have me really crashing out.

I can’t call students anything but their legal name (including nicknames).

I can’t give them bandages when they are bleeding. I can’t with this state.

I just want to teach art and let kids be themselves.

Grisaille underpainting of a Paleofantasy painting of an Ammonite swimming through a sunken Temple dedicated to the Coral Animals. The Ammonite is the Guardian and Protector of the Sacred Temple. Behind the Ammonite are huge Caldrons of burning Phosphorus to Honor the Sacred Coral Animals and a marker of the Sacred Site. On the sides of the Temple Platforms are carvings of Fan Coral. On the platform are two Obelisks with Shells and Seahorses engraved into the structures rising upwards to the Ocean surface. In the distance are various outlines of the Coral Animals present.
