This is half a mile from my home, and also immediately next to an elementary school. Is there any oversight? Will there be any consequences for this recklessness and cruelty?

We're a month further into the job market - how are things looking? The good news is that the market does seem to have been delayed: ~150 new listings have appeared since my last post. The bad news is that the total is still substantially lower than what it was during the covid dip.

Some promising trends in the psychology replication crisis since 2004:

- Fewer studies publish weak p values (.01 < p < .05)
- Studies with weak p values are less likely to get cited
- The % of weak p values (26%) is now roughly what we would expect from studies with 80% power.

I have followed Sam’s work for years. Even though I never met him, he has been a huge influence on my career. He will be missed.
Sam Sommers has been such a wonderful presence in our field and this is such a terrible loss. My first contact with Sam happened when he edited one of my papers. Having an editor who helps you develop is rare and valuable. Sam was that way on all things.

TFW someone in your family has died, and you're out in public -say, the supermarket- and you look around in awe as everyone else seems to be living their lives as if nothing's happened, while you feel shattered and deep grief.. well, that's precisely how I feel about #democracy in the US right now 💔

I am worried that scientists will self-censor and not share their work because they view it as trivial relative to what is going on

But let's not participate in the destruction of science.

Please share your work unapologetically and share others' work
