You know what Congress can do: open its own investigation into Renee Good’s death and make its own referral to DOJ. And if the Republicans don’t want to do it, I think we know have 10 attorneys and 1 FBI agents perfectly willing to testify at shadow hearings held by the Democrats.

All I can say about this particular grading season is that it's not as bad as the time I caught COVID at the department holiday party and had to grade 120 finals exams + 17 final papers while running a fever.

I've invented a new intergenerational party game to improve upon this "OK Boomer" thing unleashed on our family last night. The problem with the box game is that the trivia is instantly dated and also stupidly easy (e.g. "What does clickbait mean?"), and it's not clear what the age groups are.

One of my earliest moments of radicalization was in 2005 when Larry Summers said that women biologically have less aptitude for science than men. Following that, scores of equally unimpressive people wrote pieces trying to explain or justify his remarks, when they should have called for his removal.

I had to call his Illinois office because DC's voicemail was overloaded/offline, but @durbin.senate.gov sure got a voicemail from me telling him how angry and disappointed I am.
I suggest we all call our capitulating Democrat senators and give them what for. Dick Durbin will be hearing from me.
