clouds obscure the sun
casting gloom
across earth’s surface.
It’s then
flowers shine brighter
echoing the sun‘s brilliance,
a reminder that
the gloom will pass.
We too, when
cast in gloom,
remember the echoes
of that which gives life,
until the gloom passes.
