Like in my head as someone who really doesn't particularly care about christmas it was just kind of, silly and funny. But from their perspective it was full on sacrilegious. I simultaneously have never gotten so many delighted smiles. Or so much furious vitriol. Never before have so many people come up to get selfies and give me a fist bump. Or have so many people shouted at me and tried to use physical force to stop me. I was out there on a weekend for a little over 8 hours straight. From roughly 8:45 am to 5 pm. No bathroom breaks. Continuously visible on the main road the entire time. Mul. next door and local Facebook threads were created. Calls for violence against me were made. One dude told me if I didn't leave he would call the cops and I stood my ground and said "Go ahead I will be happy to talk to with them". No cops ever showed. IDK if it was a bluff or if they just told him I wasn't breaking any laws. l've been regularly solo protesting about trump being a pedo for like, over a year now. And never have I had such a successful, highly disruptive protest. Something about the christmas theme really got peoples attention and made it stick in their minds.
