After decades stuck to the fly paper of a place I wasn't supposed to live in I realized: I could leave. And I did. I uprooted & moved to a new state that I knew I was supposed to live in - especially at this moment in history. The wit of the governor does not disappoint.

I am in the oddest mindgame. I sent money to an artist for #stickers then spaced it out after a long while... weeks later they messaged asking if I'd received since they were so slammed... I was promised a shipment post haste. Every few weeks I get the same message/promise. And: I keep responding. ?

!! After a few solid months of upending all the things to move to a whole new city, I was able to actuallyset pen to paper & attend my #memoirist #writinggroup. I learned that using the wrong pen (since the right ones are still packed somewhere) makes me terse.

#Stoicism has taught me that "a situation is ONLY a situation". When something is "hard" - that is a construct a person chooses to throw emotions in with. Doesn't mean I won't cheer, though. #cancan
sometimes: things are just "difficult". wrapping the sentiment around a thing puts it in its place.

Apparently, Garth C. Clifford has taken the title of what I was thinking I'd name the next chapter of my life. I guess I'll go with "Adventures in friendship & eventual mischief with corvids in the verdant new seaside city of the Babs."

I'm pretty sure I've seen a comedy bit in which a doctor starts a discussion with such wording that tragic news is following... but it isn't. (Was it Dr. Hibbard?) The phone call from my vet after Peaksy's dental & growth removal was like that. My eyes teared up - but all was fine. All turned 1/2

At last! Tonight the hiatus ends and the #memoir #writinggroup I'm in meets up online! So many of my stories have been simmering, but the sunlight on my memorial shelf at this time of year pulls me to inking out the story of some ghost. Tick tock 4 hours & 17 minutes left to write anything.

I spent a great many hours Saturday.
In the sunshine bounding over my house.
Chopping back furious tangles of branches on 3 #rose bush monsters.
I am careful not to remove any lemon-candy scented blooms - inevitably covering hands & wrists & arms in pollen. Scooching from one plant to another.
